restaurant business plan

Product/Service Page

This is where you get into the heart of what the business is about. Whatever your business actually does to make money, this is where you describe it in more detail.

You don't want to go overboard with detial, however, just enough to make sure the person reading will understand what your business is about and why people will buy it.

If your business is obvious in how it works, for example a clothing store, you should spend more time in detailing who your customers are and why they will come and buy from you. This is an important section of the plan, and it may even be worth putting it into it's own section.

If you have a clothing store that hs clothes the same price as everyone else and your location is only so-so, then how are you going to survive? Are you the only one selling maternity clothes in your town? Do you have the lowest prices? Are you the most convenient? Do you have the very latest fashions, or the best service? You better explain why you are going to be able to compete when consumers have a lot of choices and not much time.

If your business is less common, you should spend more time explaining exactly what you do, and how you make money. You also need to explain where you get your customers, but you shouldn't skim over the business itself or you might leave your readers in the dark.

This section can take up to 2-3 pages, so be sure you include all the important information.
